Seventeen-year-old Laura Jones has always heard echoes of the past wherever she goes. On the anniversary of her family moving into their new house, Maverick's echo appears on her doorstep, and Laura overhears a conversation she had shared with him last year. The strange part? She has no recollection of it at all. And to make matters worse, it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. 

Soon enough, Laura is hearing echoes of Maverick all over the place. And when she starts looking for clues about what happened to him, she realizes she's being followed. 

As Laura’s pursuers grow closer to catching up with her, Laura’s carefully crafted sense of “normal” begins to quickly unravel. But will listening to echoes of a boy she doesn’t remember lead her the truth? Or will digging up the past only push her deeper into a dangerous future?
